Bellemeade is predicted to receive approximately $164,000 as part of the&nbsp; American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). The Bellemeade Commission wants your input on how those funds should be spent.&nbsp; All costs must be incurred by December 31, 2024.&nbsp; Eligible uses include:<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>(1) Household Assistance &#8211; including food assistance; rent, mortgage, or utility assistance; counseling and legal aid; cash assistance to households are allowed, but they must be proportional to the negative economic impact on the household.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(2) Investing in Water, Sewer, and Broadband Infrastructure<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(3) Special-Purpose Districts \u2013 including school districts, water districts, or fire districts \u2013 will not receive funding allocations; however, cities may transfer money to these districts to further goals of the act. Similarly, cities may transfer funds to county governments and vice versa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Current Resident suggestions are<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Updating the streetlights \u2013 LED and adding more between.<ul><li>Drainage issues on north chadwick 100 block<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Security cameras at entrances.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Twice year large junk pick up.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Broadband access for City of Bellemeade<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Hotspots or brodband for NERL library branch<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Helping low income bellemeade residents with sewer bills<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Sewer improvements<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Removing old trees on shelbyville road and planting new ones.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Pipeline on the South Hampton Woodcleft Ditch<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Autumn leaf composting<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Teaming with other small cities to fund a solar array.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Community ministry food pantry<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Library donation<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Fire district donation<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Commissioner Reports<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Public Comments &#8211; In Accordance With Commission Rules<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>New Business \u2013<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Third Reading of Non-Solicitation Ordinance<\/li><li>Consideration of Non-Solicitation Ordinance<\/li><li>Presentation of Investment Policy and Discussion and possible adoption of the same.<\/li><li>Discussion of Changes to Possible Commissioner Roles<\/li><li>Discussion of Virtual or Physical Meeting Location Date for August Meetings<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Adjournment &#8211;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The next working meeting is scheduled for Monday August 2, 2021 7:00 pm. via Zoom.
