{"id":4328,"date":"2022-03-12T18:19:59","date_gmt":"2022-03-12T23:19:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bellemeade-ky.gov\/?p=4328"},"modified":"2022-03-14T15:09:39","modified_gmt":"2022-03-14T19:09:39","slug":"commission-agenda-monday-march-14-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bellemeade-ky.gov\/?p=4328","title":{"rendered":"Commission Agenda &#8211; Monday, March 14, 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>City Of Bellemeade<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regular Meeting Agenda<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>March 14, 2022 at 7:00 PM<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 700 Room, 1st Floor<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>700 North Hurstbourne Parkway<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Louisville, KY 40222<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Call To Order &#8211;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Approval of Previous Minutes &#8211;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Reports &#8211; Each Report Will be Followed by Comments from Each Commissioner Who Wishes to Speak.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Treasurer&#8217;s Report and Adoption<\/li><li>Mayor\u2019s Report &#8211; James Martin<ul><li>Bellemeade City Election will occur November 8, 2022 \u2013 The candidate filing deadline is Tuesday June 7, 2022 at 4:00 p.m.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Anne Palmer Los Arboles Condominiums 8625 Shelbyville Road 40222 \u2013 says trash is often missed weekly.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Investment Update and Discussion &#8211;<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Peddler\u2019s Ordinance License Application<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>American Rescue Plan Funding Update &#8211; total amount of\u00a0 $132,864.00 as part of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Bellemeade Commission wants input on how those funds should be spent.\u00a0 All costs must be incurred by December 31, 2024.\u00a0 <strong>Eligible uses include now greatly expanded since there is now a presumed amount of lost revenue up to $10,000,000 for each city.\u00a0 <\/strong>Only 4 or 5 cities in the Commonwealth received more than $10,000,000.\u00a0 All other cities can use their full amounts for traditional governmental services.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Therefore, we are no longer limited to the following categories: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(1) Household Assistance &#8211; including food assistance; rent, mortgage, or utility assistance; counseling and legal aid; cash assistance to households are allowed, but they must be proportional to the negative economic impact on the household.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(2) Investing in Water, Sewer, and Broadband Infrastructure <em>and Public Safety<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(3) Special-Purpose Districts \u2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Current Commission Discussions Have Focused on: &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Drainage Ditch clearing behind South Hamptom<ul><li>Partial Reimbursement for Resident Home Camera Installation<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Updating the streetlights \u2013 LED and adding more between.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Police security increase.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Tree Planting<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Commissioner Reports<\/li><li>Public Works \u2013<\/li><li>Public Events \u2013 Discussion of date, plan, and appropriation for Arbor Day Event<ul><li>Discussion of Yardsale date.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Public Comments &#8211; In Accordance with Commission Rules<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>New Business \u2013<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Discussion of Budget Planning for 2022 \u2013 Including areas where budget may be decreased or increased.<ul><li>Discuss Budget Changes for remainder of 2022<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Discuss Projected Budget for July 1, 2022 \u2013 June 30, 2023<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Discussion of Tax rate changes for 2022 &#8212;<\/li><li>Discussion of possible reimbursement\/rebate for canopy tree replanting<\/li><li>Discussion of Virtual or Physical Meeting Location Date for future Meetings<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Adjournment &#8211;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The next working meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 4, 2022 7:00 pm.
