On Friday, Mayor James Martin met with Matt Ricketts, Senior Vice President at NTS regarding the Shelbyhurst Campus’ newest development at 815 North Whittington Parkway (in between the BrightSpring building and retention pond). The plans for this building were previously approved in 2016 but a tenant was not found for the location. Today, NTS plans to re-submit a Detailed District Development Plan (DDDP) to Louisville Metro. NTS is proposing the same binding elements that were previously approved (and were satisfactory to Bellemeade at that time). The building will be architecturally similar to the BrightSpring building. Once the DDDP is submitted there will be a 45 day comment period. Bellemeade City Attorney, Steve Porter, will be reviewing the submission as he is a known expert on zoning matters. Copies of the draft drawings received from Matt Ricketts can be found below:
Mr. Ricketts also mentioned that this location is planned for only one large tenant. He was not authorized to reveal the tenant, but said it is a well-known and well-respected company in the area.
